In the realm of voice acting, Takahata is known for her lead role in the 2017 anime film Napping Princess (Hirune Hime: Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari). Directed by Kenji Kamiyama, the film features Takahata as the voice of the main character, Kokone Morikawa, as well as her dream-world counterpart, Ancien. Beyond this original anime role, her voice acting work primarily consists of dubbing for foreign films. A notable example is providing the Japanese voice for the title character in Disney's live-action Cinderella in 2015. She also voiced the character Nana in the 2018 live-action film The Travelling Cat Chronicles. Her work in dubbing also includes roles in animated films such as Meet the Robinsons and the 2023 film Barbie.
