Asuka Yūki

Description
Asuka Yūki is a Japanese voice actress from Fukuoka Prefecture, born on October 4, 1988. Before pursuing voice acting, her childhood ambition was to become a professional boat racer, an interest sparked by her father who frequently took her to the races and further inspired by a television documentary on the sport. She focused on building the necessary physical strength for this career, but her path changed after experiencing a basketball injury, developing asthma, and a decline in her uncorrected vision, which are essential requirements for racers. After this period of uncertainty, an acquaintance who aspired to be a voice actor, along with the Studio Ghibli film Kiki's Delivery Service, inspired her to enter the world of voice acting.

Yūki graduated from Yoyogi Animation School and later joined the International Media College, beginning her career after affiliating with the talent agency IAM Agency. She was with IAM Agency until January 2025, after which she announced her move to Dax Production in April of the same year.

Her voice acting portfolio includes a range of roles in television anime. One of her earliest notable appearances was in 2013, providing the voice for Yū Kojō in the short-form anime series Sparrow's Hotel. In this comedy, Kojō is introduced as a hotel inspector who is not very skilled at her job and eventually becomes a staff member at the hotel. Following this, she took on various supporting roles in series such as Isuca, Castle Town Dandelion, and later, a more prominent role as Brigitte Arkwright in Magical Warfare. In 2016, she was part of the cast for the anime adaptation of the popular manga Orange.

Beyond anime, Yūki's work includes voice acting for foreign film and drama dubs, known as fukikae. Her dubbing credits include the film Beastly, where she voiced the character Lindy Taylor, and a role in the Chinese drama The Fierce Wife. She has also lent her voice to overseas animation, such as the character Oda in Police Cars, and has participated in drama CD productions, including the series Nobunaga!. Her personal interests include watching boat races, playing mahjong, and the game of Go.
