Tony Salerno, also known as Anthony Salerno, is an American voice actor, ADR director, and scriptwriter born on November 18, 1969, in New York City. He has built a career primarily in the dubbing of anime and animation, frequently collaborating with production companies such as 4Kids Entertainment, Central Park Media, and TAJ Productions.
Salerno is widely recognized for his extensive voice work within the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. He provided the voice for the duellist Rex Raptor in the later episodes of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series. His most prominent role in the franchise is Chazz Princeton in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, a character he voiced for the majority of the series. He also contributed voices to subsequent series, including Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL.
His career includes significant contributions to the English adaptations of other notable anime. He took on roles such as Kazam in Now and Then, Here and There, the narrator in Ping-Pong Club, and various characters in the Slayers series, including Slayers Next and Slayers Try. Salerno has also been involved with the long-running Pokémon anime, both as a voice director during its early seasons and as a voice actor for characters like Jackson and, later, Ramos.
