Giorgio Bandiera was an Italian actor and voice actor, born on December 17, 1926, in Syracuse, Sicily. His career in the performing arts began in the realm of theater, with a recorded participation in the 19th Festival Internazionale del Teatro di Prosa in Venice in 1960 for the play Le donne di buon umore. He subsequently became active in television, appearing in numerous RAI productions and sceneggiati (TV serials) throughout the 1960s and 1970s. His television credits include roles in productions such as I grandi camaleonti in 1964, Il conte di Montecristo in 1966, and L'ultimo aereo per Venezia in 1977.

While his on-screen career was notable, Bandiera became particularly renowned for his extensive work as a voice actor, especially in the dubbing of anime and cartoons for the Italian market. He lent his voice to a wide array of characters, becoming a familiar presence to audiences of imported animated series during the 1980s. Among his most prominent anime roles were Zeus in C'era una volta... Pollon, Slythe in Thundercats, Professor Mirabilius in Combattler V, and William Slorin in Rocky Joe. He also provided voices for Ali Babà e i 40 ladroni, Gulliver, and Gli Orsetti del Cuore nel Paese delle Meraviglie. In the soccer anime Holly e Benji, due fuoriclasse, he was the second voice for the character of the Toho coach.

In addition to his work in animation, Giorgio Bandiera had a prolific career dubbing live-action films and TV series. He provided the Italian voice for prominent actors such as Dennis Weaver in the film Duel, Chuck Norris in Il codice del silenzio, Tom Skerritt in La zona morta, and Robert Englund in Nightmare 2 - La rivincita. His voice can also be heard in the film Fantaghirò.
