Luciano Marchitiello

Luciano Marchitiello is an Italian voice actor born in Rome on September 13, 1959, who was active in the dubbing industry until approximately 2018. He is known for his extensive work providing Italian voices for characters in numerous animated series and films, particularly in the genres of anime and Western animation.
Marchitiello's career is marked by a substantial number of roles in Japanese anime series dubbed into Italian. He voiced the character Rei Miyanoshita, also known as Reiichirou Miyanoshita, in the anime series Ghost Stories, as well as a character called Cane dal volto umano in the same series. His other prominent anime voice roles include Soun Tendo in the CRC dubbing of Ranma ½ for episodes 51 through 161 and the Guardian of the Cursed Springs in the same series, Mendo Shutaro in his second voice and the father of Ryunosuke in his third voice for Urusei Yatsura, and Zapan in Battle Angel Alita. He also lent his voice to Leon in Bubblegum Crisis, Klondike in Nanako SOS, and Bishamonten in RG Veda.
In addition to his work on anime, Marchitiello is widely recognized for being the original Italian voice of the character Cleveland Brown in the animated series Family Guy for its first ten seasons, as well as in its spin-off, The Cleveland Show. He was later succeeded in this role by Renato Cecchetto starting from season twelve. His other animation credits include Sagata in Reporter Blues, Saint Juste as the first voice in Lady Oscar, Jehan as the second voice in Belle and Sebastian, the narrator for the second part of episodes in Dino Mech Gaiking, and Phoebus in Quasimodo - il gobbo di Notre Dame.
Beyond his voice acting, Marchitiello also contributed to the dubbing process as a dubbing director and adapter of dialogues for the Italian version of the anime series Negima!. His work in the industry also encompassed dubbing voices for live-action actors in films and television series, including Mark Harmon, Ed Harris, and Bill Paxton, among many others.
