Cugno began providing voices for animated series around the year 2000. His early credits include the role of Lee Wong in the 2002 series Beyblade. He later returned to the franchise, voicing the character Kyoya in Beyblade: Metal Fusion. A significant role in his career is voicing Ren Krawler in the anime series Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders. He took over the part from actor David Reale after the first nine episodes and voiced the character for the remainder of the season.
