Description
Ren Krawler, a Darkus Brawler from Gundalia, is the final heir to the Protectors of the Dark Bakugan, burdened with restraining his partner Linehalt’s forbidden powers. Manipulated by Emperor Barodius, he infiltrates the Battle Brawlers under false pretenses, fabricating a Neathian invasion to recruit them for Gundalia’s war. His sabotage extends to deploying Phantom Data, breaching Bakugan Interspace’s security for covert Gundalian operations.
Confined since childhood in Gundalia’s underground due to Linehalt’s volatile abilities, Ren trades servitude to Barodius for freedom, journeying to Earth to deceive the Brawlers. While feigning camaraderie with Marucho and others, he undermines their efforts until Princess Fabia Sheen unmasks his treachery, exiling him back to Gundalia as an open adversary.
Witnessing the Twelve Orders’ brutality—abandoning fallen comrades—ignites Ren’s empathy. He risks saving Sid Arkale, inheriting Rubanoid and Destrakon Gear, later passing them to Linus Claude. Disillusioned by Barodius’s deceit, Ren defects, aligning with the Castle Knights to aid Neathia.
Post-conflict, as Commander of Gundalian Forces under Prime Minister Nurzak, he drives democratic reforms. In subsequent battles, he collaborates with Team Grey against threats like Mag Mel, wielding Darkus Zoompha and Rapilator Mobile Assault units. Linehalt remains his steadfast ally, supported by Battle Gear Boomix and Mechtogan Frangzor.
Ren’s silver-spiked hair, yellow eyes, and obsidian Gundalian skin mark his heritage; his human guise dons a simple black shirt. Evolving from antagonist to ally across seasons, his quest for redemption and Gundalia’s protection anchors his arc, extending into *Bakugan Dimensions* as a pivotal franchise figure.
