Beyond his work in the studio, he pursued higher education, earning a degree with distinction in Digital and Media Management from the Stuttgart Media University, and has been a scholarship holder of the Foundation of German Business and the Fulbright Program.

He provided the German voice for the character across all seasons, including Mob Psycho 100 II and Mob Psycho 100 III, a role he described as his most demanding and favorite anime part to date due to its complexity and the depth of the character. His work in the anime genre also includes voicing Haruma Yamazaki in Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Fuji in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Iori Hashima in the Saekano films, and various roles in the Pokémon franchise, such as Lauro in Pokémon Evolutions and Zirc in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. In addition to anime, his extensive voice work includes dubbing for live-action series and films, most notably as the long-standing German voice of Bran Stark in Game of Thrones and as the voice of actors Asa Butterfield in films like Hugo Cabret and Ender's Game – Das große Spiel, and Ty Simpkins in the Insidious film series.
His work in animation also extends to western productions, such as voicing Sprig Plantar in the Disney series Amphibia. In addition to voice acting, Scheuernstuhl has worked on audio plays and, since August 2023, hosts a podcast titled Steps mit Manu, where he interviews prominent German personalities about their career paths.
