Jim MacGeorge was an American voice actor and writer with a career spanning from the 1950s to his passing in 2021. He was born James Andrew MacGeorge on October 9, 1928, and died on January 16, 2021, at the age of 92. He was also occasionally credited under the names James MacGeorge and Jim McGeorge.
His extensive body of work primarily consisted of voicing characters in numerous animated television series, particularly those produced by Hanna-Barbera and other major studios during the rise of Saturday morning cartoons. Among his most recognized roles were providing the voices for Beany Boy, Crowy, and Uncle Captain Horatio K. Huffenpuff in the classic series Beany and Cecil, a role he later reprised in the 1980s. He was also the voice of Oliver Hardy in The Laurel and Hardy Cartoon Show, Dr. Wilmer Scarab in Bionic Six, Crazy Claws in The Kwicky Koala Show, Bort in The Mighty Orbots, and Wimper in Clue Club.
