Thierry Hancisse is a Belgian actor whose voice is well-known to French audiences, both for his stage work and his extensive performances in dubbing. Born on November 20, 1962, in Namur, he is a prominent figure in French theater, having been trained at the Cours Florent and become the 486th sociétaire of the prestigious Comédie-Française in 1993, later serving as the troupe's dean. While his primary career is on stage, he has built a significant parallel career in voice acting, lending his distinctive voice to numerous animated films, radio plays, and audiobooks.
In the realm of animation dubbing, Hancisse has taken on a variety of memorable roles. He provided the French voice for the character Mandrake in the Studio Ghibli film Earwig and the Witch, directed by Goro Miyazaki.
