Kirsten Bishop was the professional name of Canadian actress Kirsten Johanne Alice Bishopric, who was born in Montreal, Quebec, on September 6, 1963, and died in Toronto on April 15, 2014. She began her career as a child actor and worked extensively in both live-action and voice roles for film and television from the mid-1970s until 2012.

Her career in anime voice acting began with one of her earliest roles. At the age of eleven, she provided the English voice for the titular character, Marina, in the 1975 Toei Animation film Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid. This English-language version of the anime feature was one of her first significant voice performances.

Bishop is best known for her voice work in the original English-language adaptation of the popular anime series Sailor Moon. Between 1995 and 2000, she voiced multiple villainous characters across different story arcs of the series, appearing in 58 episodes. Her roles in the DiC and CWi English dubs included the antagonists Zoycite, Emerald, Kaorinite, Telulu, and Queen Badiyanu in the film Sailor Moon Super S: The Movie: Black Dream Hole. Her performances, often noted for distinctive characterizations such as a memorable laugh, made her a recognizable voice among fans of the series.

In addition to her anime roles, Bishop had a prolific career as an on-screen actress in Canadian and American television productions. Her television credits included guest appearances in series such as Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Goosebumps, The West Wing, Nikita, and Warehouse 13. She also appeared in numerous television films, including Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story and America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story. Her film work included a role in the science fiction thriller Frequency. She was known for her versatility as an actress, a fact she herself acknowledged in a quote reflecting on the wide variety of characters she portrayed, from debutantes and stressed mothers to psychopaths and cartoon villains.
