Aurélien Cotentin, known professionally as Orelsan, is a French rapper, songwriter, and actor who has also established a presence as a voice actor in anime, primarily lending his voice to French-language dubs. His entry into voice acting began in the mid-2010s, coinciding with a period of significant expansion in his career beyond music into film and television.

Orelsan made his voice acting debut in 2017 with the French voice of Angelino in the animated film Mutafukaz. This Franco-Japanese production, co-directed by Shôjirô Nishimi and Guillaume Renard, features Orelsan in the lead role as a young man living in a violent metropolis who begins to experience strange visions after an accident. His involvement in the film also included a collaboration with his long-time musical partner Gringe, who provided the voice for another character, Vinz.

His most prominent and widely recognized voice role began in 2016, when he was cast as the French voice of Saitama, the protagonist of the popular anime series One Punch Man. Orelsan's casting was noted for the perceived similarity between his public persona as a "loser" character in his own film and television work and Saitama's bored, everyman demeanor as an overpowered hero. He has continued to voice the character, with his participation confirmed for the third season of the anime.

Beyond voice acting, Orelsan's connection to One Punch Man extended to a musical collaboration. For the opening theme of the anime's second season in 2019, he performed a special collaboration with the Japanese rock group JAM Project on the song Seijaku no Apostle. This work represents a unique intersection of his music and voice-acting careers.
