Yukiko Motoyoshi
Description
Yukiko Motoyoshi is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with Aoni Production. She is also a former member of the voice actor idol group Kleissis. Motoyoshi was born on April 3 and hails from Chiba Prefecture. Her path to voice acting was influenced by a childhood love of anime, which began in middle school. She pursued higher education in musicology at the Tokyo University of the Arts and later graduated from the Amusement Media Academy.
Motoyoshi made her professional debut in the 2010s, initially taking on various supporting and minor roles across numerous anime series and games. One of her early notable roles was providing the voice for Honye in the 2018 anime adaptation of the Chinese comic Voice of Fox. Her work in the Pokémon franchise includes voicing Lunala and Pottaishi in the 2021 web series Pokémon Evolutions. The same year, she also provided additional Pokémon voices for the series. Her filmography also includes a role as a customer in the 2018 series GeGeGe no Kitaro.
Beyond anime, Motoyoshi has lent her voice to numerous video game characters. Her game credits include roles in Persona 5 Royal, OCTOPATH TRAVELER II, and Pokémon Masters EX. She also voiced Mei Kokonoe in the 2020 game Sakura Kakumei: Hanasaku Otome-tachi. Motoyoshi has demonstrated a wide vocal range in her career, taking on parts as varied as the artificial intelligence Carla in the 2021 anime SK8 the Infinity and Princess Mingzhu in Raven of the Inner Palace in 2022.
