Alison Pill

Description
Alison Pill is a Canadian actress who began her career as a child performer in her native Toronto, appearing in television series and films from a young age. While primarily known for her extensive work in live-action television, film, and on the Broadway stage, her professional acting credits include voice work in animation. One of her earliest roles was providing the voice of Paulette in the animated series Anatole, which aired in 1998, and Cornflower Fieldmouse in the animated series Redwall around 1999 and 2000.

For many years, Pill's voice acting credits were sparse compared to her on-screen performances. However, a significant voice role came with the Netflix anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, which premiered in 2023. In this series, she reprised the role of Kim Pine, the deadpan drummer for the band Sex Bob-Omb, a character she originally played in the 2010 live-action film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The anime series reunited the entire original cast to voice their characters, marking a major collaboration between Pill and the ensemble, as well as with creator Bryan Lee O'Malley and director Edgar Wright, who served as executive producers.

In addition to this high-profile project, Pill has contributed her voice to other animated productions. She was cast as the voice of the mother in the 2019 animated short film The Most Magnificent Thing, based on the children's book of the same name. She also provides the voice for Farmer Faye in the children's animated series Robogobo, which began in 2025.

Throughout her career, Pill has received recognition for her acting, though primarily for her stage and screen work. She has been nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in The Lieutenant of Inishmore and has won a Drama Desk Award. Her notable live-action television roles include series regular parts in The Newsroom, Star Trek: Picard, and Devs.
