Kōji Okino

Koji Okino is a Japanese actor and voice actor from Fukuoka Prefecture, born on November 18, 1985. He began his entertainment career in 2000 and, after graduating from high school, trained at the Stella Adler Academy in the United States. In 2007, he co-founded the theatrical troupe Bokura Dangi with writer Kudo Sho, where he serves as deputy representative and has starred in and choreographed numerous productions. He initially focused on stage acting before formally joining the agency Atomic Monkey for voice work in 2016.

Okino is widely recognized for his role as the passionate and hard-headed student Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, also known as the hero Real Steel, in the long-running anime series My Hero Academia, a role he has reprised in multiple seasons and the film My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission. He is also well-known as the voice of the Trainer in the popular multimedia franchise Uma Musume Pretty Derby, appearing in the main television series, its second season, and the special BNW no Chikai. His other notable anime roles include Robert Chase in Fairy gone, King in Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, Melon in Beastars Final Season, Nikichi in Shabake, and Gunhead, another character in My Hero Academia.

In addition to his voice work in anime, Okino has an extensive career in stage performance and video games. He has played historical figures like Ishida Mitsunari in the Sengoku BASARA stage play series and Oda Nobuyasu in a Nobunaga's Ambition stage adaptation. His video game credits include roles in Detective Pikachu, Dragon Quest XI S, and Armored Core VI. Okino holds a license in Konto-ryu Shikikai swordsmanship and applies this expertise as a fight choreographer for stage productions, also teaching regular sword fighting classes.
