Xochitl Ugarte is a Mexican voice actress born on April 21, 1979, in Mexico City. She began her career in voice acting in 1990 at the age of ten, entering the profession through her uncle, fellow voice actor Eduardo Fonseca. She later studied Communication Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and also works as a commercial voice-over talent. She comes from a family of voice actors, with her siblings, Victor Ugarte and Gaby Ugarte, also working in the industry.

Ugarte is widely recognized for her extensive work dubbing anime into Latin American Spanish. One of her most iconic and long-running roles is that of Misty in the Pokémon franchise. She has voiced the character consistently across nearly all of her appearances, beginning with the original television series in the late 1990s and continuing through numerous films and specials. Her film work in the franchise includes providing the voice for Misty in Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, Pokémon Heroes - Latias & Latios, Pokémon 4Ever, and Pokémon: The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon.

Beyond Pokémon, her anime roles are numerous and varied. She is known for playing Deunan Knute in Appleseed: Ex Machina, Flora Beltrum in Seirei Gensouki - Spirit Chronicles, Cleveland in Azur Lane, and Lets in Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!. Her other significant credits include Aelita in Code Lyoko, Diva in Blood+, Kuina in One Piece, Koko in Zatch Bell, Yuka in Inuyasha, Sayoko Mishima in Oh My Goddess!, and various roles in the Robotech franchise, such as Vanessa Leeds and Dana Sterling in later dubs. In recent years, she has voiced Seiko Ayase in the Latin American Spanish dub of Dan Da Dan and a young Vegeta in Dragon Ball Daima.

In addition to her work in anime, Ugarte is a prominent voice for live-action dubbing. She is the regular Spanish voice for actresses such as Keira Knightley, including the role of Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, Michelle Williams, and Marion Cotillard. She also provided the Spanish voice for characters like Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, Sabrina Spellman in Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Ren Stevens in Even Stevens. Beyond performing, Ugarte has also taken on roles as a dubbing director, contributing to projects such as the Latin American Spanish versions of The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent.
