Christina Rodrigues

Description
Christina Rodrigues is a Brazilian voice actor known for her work in dubbing anime and television series, with a career beginning in the late 1980s. She is recognized for providing the Portuguese voice for the character Yuniko Takagaki in the anime OVA Pelican Road Club Culture.

Rodrigues is a graduate of the Escola de Artes Dramáticas at the Universidade de São Paulo (ECA-USP). She began her career in dubbing in 1988 at the Álamo studio, with her first credited role as the character Lú, also known as Pink Flash, in the Japanese series Flashman. In the same early period, she had a regular character in the anime Zillion, voicing Amy, the secretary of Mr. Gordon.

Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Rodrigues became a familiar voice in the dubbing of tokusatsu series, a genre of live-action Japanese films and television shows. She voiced the protagonist Maya in the series Metalder and the character Kenon in Jiban. In 1994, she was cast in what would become one of her most prominent roles, voicing the character Raye Hino, also known as Sailor Mars, in the Brazilian Portuguese dub of the globally popular anime Sailor Moon. This work was done at the Gota Mágica studio under the direction of Gilberto Baroli. Following this success, she was cast as the voice of Bulma in the initial Brazilian dub of the anime Dragon Ball, a role that ended prematurely when the studio did not produce all episodes of the first phase of the series.

In addition to her work in animation, Rodrigues's voice has been featured in dubbing for live-action television series. Notably, she provided the Brazilian Portuguese voice for the character Gillian Foster in the series Lie to Me and for Candice Olson, the host of the program Design Divino. Beyond performing, Rodrigues has also worked as a dubbing director. Her body of work, particularly in anime and tokusatsu from the 1980s and 1990s, has established her as a notable figure in Brazilian dubbing.
