Carlos Macedo is a Portuguese actor and voice actor, born on September 2, 1965. He is widely recognized for his extensive work in dubbing foreign animation and live-action series into European Portuguese, becoming one of the most known and respected voice actors in Portugal. His career in voice acting spans several decades and includes a vast array of characters in animated series and films.

Macedo's filmography is extensive, featuring leading roles in numerous anime series that have aired on Portuguese television. He is particularly famed for voicing the title characters in two iconic series: Kenshin Himura in Rurouni Kenshin, also known as Samurai X, and Diego de la Vega, the protagonist of Kaiketsu Zorro, known in Portugal as A Lenda de Zorro. These roles established his reputation among younger audiences and anime fans in Portugal. His voice work also includes the character Barnabé, the middle brother of Hans, in the series The Adventures of Puss-in-Boots.

In addition to these classic roles, Macedo continues to be active in contemporary dubbing projects. He voiced the antagonist Douglas Bullet in the Portuguese dub of the 2019 film One Piece Stampede. He also contributed to the Star Wars: Visions anime anthology, providing the voice for the character Kamakachi in the Akakiri short, as well as serving as the narrator for the Lop & Ocho short. His versatility is further demonstrated by roles in major franchises, having voiced characters such as Tai Kamiya and Davis Motomiya in Digimon: The Movie, Lawrence III in Pokémon 3: The Movie, and Mikey Kudo in Digimon Fusion.

Beyond his work in animation, Carlos Macedo is also an actor with a background in theater. He is a member of the cultural association Klássikus, and his performance work extends to television series and film.
