Ayumu Nakajima

Description
Ayumu Nakajima is a Japanese actor born on October 7, 1988, in Miyagi Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency Ten Carat. Nakajima pursued higher education at the Nihon University College of Art, where he earned a degree in literature. His acting career began on stage in April 2013, following a period of part-time work and auditions after he stopped modeling. He gained recognition with his first regular television role in the 2014 NHK serial drama Hanako to Anne. In 2015, he received the Best New Actor award at the 7th Tama Film Awards for his performance in the film Good Stripes.

While primarily known for his extensive work in live-action television and film, Nakajima has ventured into voice acting. He provides the voice for the character Kuzu in the 2025 independent anime film Jinsei, also known by its Japanese title Mumei no Jinsei. The film, directed by Ryuya Suzuki, features a cast composed of a mix of live-action actors, comedians, and up-and-coming voice actors. According to the director, the voice recording process involved the actors delivering their lines with a subdued feel appropriate for their characters, as they were instructed to look closely at the artwork and character descriptions. This role represents a notable instance of Nakajima's participation in an anime production, contributing his voice to an independent feature that explores themes of identity and social issues.
