Yukiko Iwai

Yukiko Iwai is a Japanese voice actress born on January 13, 1972, in Chiba Prefecture. She made her debut in 1994 with a minor role in the series The Super Dimension Fortress Macross 7. In 1996, she joined the cast of the long-running series Detective Conan, providing the voice of Ayumi Yoshida, a role she has continued to play consistently across the television anime, numerous OVAs, and theatrical films for decades. Her portrayal of Ayumi remains her most iconic and enduring role. She also briefly voiced the character Aoko Nakamori in an early episode of the same series.
Iwai’s career includes a variety of other significant anime roles. In the adventure series Uninhabited Planet Survive!, she voiced the main protagonist Luna, a young girl leading a group of classmates stranded on an alien world. She played Kakei Sakura in the action series GetBackers and provided the voice for Monta in the children’s anime Going Wild. Her credits also include roles in series such as Ragnarok The Animation as Hana Tsukiyo, Girls Bravo as Nanae-Kuh-Haruka, and The SoulTaker as Kasumi Shiina. In the romantic series Tsuki wa Higashi ni Hi wa Nishi ni: Operation Sanctuary, she voiced the school nurse Kyouko Nishina.
