Yoneori

Description
Yoneori is the credited author of the light novel series The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World, which is scheduled to receive a television anime adaptation in July 2026. Yoneori first began writing the story in 2019 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Narou. The series was subsequently acquired by Kadokawa, which began publishing it as a light novel in April 2020 under its Kadokawa Books imprint, with illustrations provided by Akane Nitou. The light novel series has since expanded to six volumes as of May 2024 and has surpassed six hundred thousand copies in circulation. A manga adaptation illustrated by Nana Kogami launched in September 2020 on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website and within the B’s-LOG COMIC magazine, with the fourth compiled volume released in May 2025. The story follows Rin Takanashi, a woman in her late twenties or thirties who enjoys camping and tabletop role-playing games, who is summoned to another world as a saint but is immediately exiled when her unique skills involving a camper van and survival are deemed worthless. She then embarks on a solo gourmet journey using her abilities.

Beyond this primary work, Yoneori is also the author of a second light novel series titled Misuterareta Ikenie Reijou wa Senyou Skill "Otoriyose" de Jaryuu wo Ezuke suru, which began serialization on Shosetsuka ni Narou in April 2020. This series was later acquired by Kadokawa and published under the same Kadokawa Books imprint starting in December 2022, with illustrations by LINO. A manga adaptation of this second series, illustrated by Shun Akira, was serialized from February 2023 to April 2024 on the Nico Nico Seiga website under Kadokawa’s B's-LOG Comic brand. Yoneori’s body of work falls squarely within the isekai genre, and recurring thematic elements include a protagonist who is rejected or abandoned upon arrival in another world, the use of unconventional or overlooked skills for survival and comfort, a strong emphasis on cooking and gourmet food, and a focus on slow, self-directed travel and exploration. Yoneori has gained industry significance as a creator whose work exemplifies the subgenre of isekai narratives centered on healing, food, and a slower pace of life, achieving sufficient commercial success to warrant a full anime adaptation by the studio EMT Squared under the direction of Atsushi Nigorikawa.
