Sayaka Kitahara is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and former idol born on November 29, 1993, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production. Kitahara began her entertainment career in 2004 as a member of Hello Pro Egg, the trainee program for Hello! Project. Her first major role in anime came in 2008 when she became a part of the unit MilkyWay, formed as a tie-in to the anime series Kirarin Revolution, in which she voiced the character Noel Yukino. The group performed the series' final theme songs, and their singles charted in the top ten on the Oricon charts.
After graduating from Hello Pro Egg in 2011, Kitahara shifted her focus to a solo career and voice acting. She subsequently landed the role of the main heroine, Aoi Sorano, in the anime Inazuma Eleven GO. She performed several ending theme songs for this series, which were credited to her character and also appeared on the Oricon charts. In 2012, she joined the Avex group, and in 2013, she became part of the unit COLORS.
Kitahara has built a diverse portfolio of voice roles in anime, video games, and dubbing. In 2017, she was cast as Mary Kikakujō in the television series Armed Girl's Machiavellism. For the second season of the anime Kakegurui, titled Kakegurui XX, she voiced the character Nozomi Komabami in 2019. A significant role in her career is Mei Izumi in the mobile game and multimedia franchise The Idolmaster Shiny Colors, a part she has played since 2018. As a member of the in-game unit Straylight, she performs in live concerts and contributes to the franchise's music releases. Her other voice acting credits include roles in the anime Space Dandy, Concrete Revolutio, and the long-running series Sazae-san, as well as characters in video games such as Girls' Frontline and White Cat Project. Beyond anime and games, her work includes dubbing for foreign films and television dramas.
