Rysuke tani is a Japanese actor and voice actor who has been active in the entertainment industry since 1977. He is represented by the talent agency Fathers Corporation and is known for his work across both live-action television and anime. tani was born on March 18, 1954, in Hygo Prefecture, Japan. He is a graduate of Rokko Junior and Senior High School and the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology.

Beyond his on-screen and voice work, tani has a significant background in theatre. In 1986, he launched the theatre troupe Tokyo Ichi and served as its head for many years alongside actress Kimiko Yo. After that troupe disbanded, he co-founded Gekidan Ichi in 2001 with Tru Kusano. His extensive live-action credits include a notable role as Shinsuke Miura in the long-running detective drama series Aib, as well as appearances in several NHK Taiga dramas such as Shinsengumi!, Fri Rin Kazan, Gunshi Kanbei, and Idaten.

As a voice actor, tani is recognized for several key anime roles. He voiced Dr. Akihabara in the series Medabots, a role he also reprised in Medabots Spirit. He provided the voice of Gennai Hraga in the Read or Die series, a role featured across three episodes. His other prominent voice performances include the role of Oka in the racing anime Capeta. More recently, he portrayed Gonpachir Satomi in the film Tezuka's Barbara and provided the voice for Nizaemon's Father in Rohan at the Louvre.
