Tsukasa Itō is a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer, and former idol born on February 21, 1967, in Tokyo, Japan. Her career in entertainment began at a young age when she joined the theatre company Gekidan Iroha as a child actor, initially performing in television dramas. In 1981, she made her debut as a pop idol. Itō transitioned into voice acting in 1984, marking her debut in the role of Chiiko Ogawa, also known as Chitchi, in the anime special Chiisana Koi no Monogatari - Chichi to Sally Hatsukoi no Shiki.

Itō is best known for her major role as the protagonist Hikari Kamijō in the 1986 anime series Hikari no Densetsu, an adaptation of a popular shoujo manga. In addition to voicing the lead character, she also performed the opening theme Heart no Kisetsu and the ending theme Kataomoi no Humming for the series. Her other notable anime film roles include voicing Fuzzy in the 1991 theatrical film Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water: The Motion Picture (also known as Fushigi no Umi no Nadia Gekijou You Original Ban) and playing Yoshie Kuramoto, the mother of the title character, in the 2003 film Momoko, Kaeru no Uta ga Kikoeru yo, which is part of the My Sister, Momoko series. She also provided the voice for Marian in the television series Sekai Meisaku Douwa Series: Wow! Marchen Oukoku.
