Description
Fuzzy is a central character in the 1991 film Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water: The Motion Picture, which takes place two years after the events of the original television series. Created by the scientist Professor Whola, Fuzzy is an artificial being, a clone or a robot, designed to replace the daughter he lost in a personal tragedy. Her very existence is a testament to her creator's grief and his desperate, misguided attempt to reclaim a lost family member.

Within the story, Fuzzy serves as a key figure, often described as a living MacGuffin, meaning the plot revolves heavily around her, though she has limited agency of her own. She is found by the protagonist Jean after washing ashore, which draws him, Nadia, and their former adversaries from the Grantis Gang into a new conflict with a resurgent Neo-Atlantean organization. This organization, led by a man named Geiger, seeks to use Professor Whola's expertise in creating artificial humans to replace the world's political and military leaders, thereby sparking a global war they can exploit to seize power. Fuzzy is the most significant result of Whola's research, making her a target for these villains who wish to replicate his success.

As an artificial creation, Fuzzy's background is rooted in tragedy. She is an imperfect copy, created by a scientist who, disillusioned and embittered after being ostracized by his peers, allied himself with the Neo-Atlanteans. Despite being a clone or robot, she appears as a young girl and her primary relationships are with her creator, Professor Whola, who feels a mix of paternal love and disappointment, and with the film's heroes, particularly Nadia and Jean, who work to protect her from those who would exploit her. Her character development is minimal, as her role is more symbolic than active. In a poignant conclusion, due to her unstable nature as an imperfect clone, Fuzzy ultimately disintegrates into dust, dissolving in a manner similar to the other artificial beings created by Professor Whola. Before her death, she delivers a final, meaningful message to Nadia, urging her to always maintain her trust in Jean, providing a moment of emotional resolution for the main characters. Her notable abilities are inherent to her nature as an artificial being, but the film does not grant her any special powers beyond existing as a successful, albeit unstable, clone created by advanced and sinister scientific methods.
