Karin Anzai is a Japanese manga artist known for creating romantic comedy series, primarily for the shoujo demographic. She is the author and illustrator of the manga It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love. Anzai is a graduate of Kanagawa Prefectural High School and began her professional career while still in university. Her early work includes winning accolades such as the Gold Prize in the 3rd Hakusensha Shoujo Manga Newcomer Awards for the one-shot Zenryoku Cyclone. She made her official debut as a manga artist in 2015 with the short story Kisu Hatsubakuha, published in Hana LaLa online.

Anzai's first serialized work was Kyodai Gokko, which ran from 2018 to 2019 and was compiled into two volumes. She followed this with Mao no Kishukkou, a series that began publication in 2019. Anzai is best known for her ongoing series, It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love. The manga began serialization in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine on July 20, 2020. As of late 2024, the series has been collected into twelve tankobon volumes. The story follows Sana, a high school girl who loves handsome faces, as she manages her school's social media account alongside a popular but troubled influencer. The series is published in English digitally by Comikey and in print by Seven Seas Entertainment, with the first English volume released in early 2025.

The success of It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love has led to significant adaptations. A live-action film adaptation was announced in July 2024. Anzai's work is characterized by contemporary settings that incorporate modern social dynamics, such as social media influence and online fandom, into classic romantic comedy scenarios.
