Kenichi Takitō is a Japanese actor born on November 2, 1976, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. He began his acting career in 1998 after training at Mumeijuku, the acting academy and theater troupe founded by legendary actor Tatsuya Nakadai, where he remained a member until 2007. Affiliated with the talent agency Agent Office Tact, Takitō has maintained a steady career in Japanese entertainment. While he is primarily known for his extensive body of work in live-action film and television dramas, he has also taken on a number of voice acting roles.
Takitō's voice acting credits in anime include several notable roles. He is the voice of the titular character Maru in the 2021 television anime series Kanashiki Debu Neko-chan. His other anime roles include Toshi in the 2015 series Sushi & Beyond: What the Japanese Know About Cooking, Mamoru Yotsuya in the 2025 film adaptation of Mieruko-chan, and Elder Toguro in the 2023 live-action adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho. His role as Shunji Tezuka appears in the 2016 live-action film adaptation of Terraformars as well.
Beyond anime, Takitō's voice work extends to other media. He voiced the character Fuutaros in the 2018 film Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER. In video games, he provided both the voice and likeness for the character Kazuya Ayabe, a detective in the 2018 game Judgment. In live-action, Takitō is known for his role as Naosuke Kondo in the acclaimed television drama Hanzawa Naoki and as a detective in the video game-inspired series Judgment. He also appears in the Rurouni Kenshin live-action film series, portraying the character Hōji Sadojima in both Part II: Kyoto Inferno and Part III: The Legend Ends.
