Doug Hadders

Description
Doug Hadders is a Canadian voice actor, writer, and producer in the animation industry. Before moving into entertainment, Hadders began his professional career as a radio morning show host at various stations across the Canadian prairies, including Brandon, Manitoba, Regina, and Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. He also worked in theatre sound design, as a government webmaster, and as a parking lot attendant. In 2001, he relocated to Toronto to pursue a career in television after enrolling in the Humber Comedy Writing and Performing course, where he won the Phil Harman Award. It was there that he met his frequent creative partner, Adam Rotstein.

Within voice performance, Hadders is best known for voicing Trox, a green tyrannosaur-based creature and the guardian Bakugan of Griffin Tessly, in the 2023 reboot of the anime series Bakugan. He performed this role across twenty-six episodes of the show. His work in animation, however, extends significantly behind the microphone, where he has focused on writing and story editing. As an animation screenwriter and show runner, he has worked on series such as The Bagel & Becky Show and Wishfart, and served as a co-executive story editor for the reboot of Inspector Gadget. Beyond children's television, Hadders co-wrote the screenplay for the 2016 animated science fiction comedy feature film Spark.

In the production side of the industry, he has worked as an executive producer and story editor on various projects. He has also been involved in mentoring students in the animation course at Sheridan College. Hadders continues to develop original animated projects, including the action comedy Camp Canuck and the feature film Bingo.
