Valerio Garbarino is an Italian actor and voice actor, born in Rome in 1949. He began his career as a child performer, winning a recitation competition at the age of four and making his dubbing debut in 1954 with the film Land of the Pharaohs. Noticed by the renowned voice actor Cesare Polacco, he was guided into the profession and went on to have a long and varied career in theater, film, and television, both as a performer and a voice actor.

While dubbing has been his primary activity, it is within the context of Italian voice acting that Garbarino has contributed to the world of anime. For Italian audiences, he provided the voice for key characters in some of the most iconic anime series imported to Italy. He is known for voicing Amuro Ray in the first series of Mobile Suit Gundam and the character Principe Franz (referred to in some sources as Principe Franco) in the anime La principessa Zaffiro. His other credits in animation include roles in series such as I predatori del tempo, Biker Mice da Marte, and The Ren and Stimpy Show.

Garbarino's extensive dubbing career also encompasses a wide range of live-action film and television work. He has dubbed actors such as Russell Crowe, Mark Hamill, Paul Giamatti, and Jon Lovitz, and has contributed to Italian versions of series like L.A. Law and Supercar.
