Michael Liscio, Jr.

Description
Michael Liscio Jr., also known professionally as Mike Liscio, is an American voice actor recognized for his extensive work in the English-language dubs of several long-running anime franchises. His career is notably defined by his contributions to the Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, where he has voiced a wide array of characters.

Liscio began providing voices for the Pokémon anime during its sixteenth season. He gained his most significant and prominent role in the series Pokémon the Series: XY, where he voiced Clemont, a young inventor and one of the protagonist Ash Ketchum's traveling companions. His portrayal of Clemont extended to several Pokémon films set during that era, including Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, and Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel. Beyond Clemont, Liscio's Pokémon voice credits are extensive and include major Pokémon characters such as James's Inkay, Ash's Lycanroc, Gladion's Lycanroc, and Ilima. He also provided voices for numerous other characters and Pokémon throughout the series, including Clembot, Komala, Trumbeak, and various minor human characters and Pokémon like Magikarp and Litleo.

Concurrently with his Pokémon work, Liscio secured a defining role in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. He is perhaps best known for his performance in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, where he voiced the lead character, Yuya Sakaki, as well as Yuya's dimensional counterparts Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri, and their original self Z-ARC, in addition to Yuya's father, Yusho Sakaki. To differentiate between the four main counterparts, he employed distinct vocal techniques, voicing Yuto gruffly, Yugo with a deep voice, and Yuri with a high pitch. His association with the franchise continued with a major role as Ai in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. He has also reprised his roles from both series in related video games, such as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.

Liscio's work has also extended to video games. He provided the voice for Inkay in the game Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. His career demonstrates a strong and recurring collaboration with the English dubs of major anime franchises, particularly Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, where he has taken on leading and supporting roles across multiple series and films.
