Kurumi Mamiya is a Japanese voice actress born on November 10 in Yasu, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of Shiga Prefectural Yasu High School and trained at the Baobab Gakuen (now Visual Space School of Acting). She began her career affiliated with Production Baobab before transitioning to her current agency, 81 Produce, in April 2004.

Mamiya is known for her distinctive, high-pitched voice, which is often described as having a unique lisp-like quality. This vocal characteristic has made her a perfect fit for playing young children, cute animal characters, and mascots, a specialty for which she has become widely recognized.

Her most iconic and long-running role is the titular character Hamtaro in the long-lasting anime series Tottoko Hamtaro, which began in 2000. She voiced the beloved hamster in the main television series, numerous sequels such as Tottoko Hamtarō Hai!, Tottoko Hamtarō Dechu, and in multiple feature films including Hamtaro the Movie 3, Tottoko Hamutaro: Ham Ham Paradi-chu! Hamutarō to Fushigi no Oni no Ehonto, and Hamtaro: 3000 Hammy Steps In Search Of Mommy. This performance earned her the Best Character Award (voice actor) at the first Tokyo Anime Award in 2002.

Beyond Hamtaro, Mamiya has built an extensive and versatile filmography across anime, video games, and dubbing. She has portrayed a wide range of characters, from the mischievous Fav in Magical Girl Raising Project and the adorable Takopi in Takopi's Original Sin, to young boys like Keiichirou Miyanoshita in Ghost Stories and Leo in One Piece. Her other notable anime roles include Tenten in Takoyaki Mant-Man, Satsuki in ICE, Momoko Kuramoto in My Sister, Momoko, Azelma in Les Misérables - Shōjo Cosette, Bull Borgnine in B-Legend! Battle Bedaman and its sequel Battle B-Daman: Fire Spirits, Pico in Aesop's World, Jun in Yumedamaya Kidan, and Gorippa-sensei in Let's Go! Tamagotchi.

Her work also extends significantly into children's programming and video games. She is well-known as the voice of U-tan on the long-running NHK educational show Inai Inai Baa!. In the gaming world, she is recognized for voicing Pocchama (Piplup) in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness games and anime adaptations, Zorua in Pokémon—Zoroark: Master of Illusions, Carbuncle in Puyo Puyo~n, and Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. She also provided the Japanese dub voice for Bubbles in an underground version of The Powerpuff Girls. As of 2025, she continues to be active in the industry with roles in projects like the anime adaptation of Takopi's Original Sin and the Tabekko Dōbutsu anime film.
