Hairi Katagiri is a Japanese actress and voice performer born on January 18, 1963, in Tokyo's Ota district. Her performance career began in the theater. While a student at Seikei University, she joined the theater company "Briki no Jihatsudan" in 1982, making her stage debut in "Denki Kajitsu Monogatari". Since the 1980s, she has worked extensively across stage, television, and film, becoming known for her distinctive appearance and idiosyncratic character portrayals.

Katagiri's voice acting work includes several notable anime and animated roles. In the comedy series Sexy Voice and Robo, she provided the voice for the character Yukie Hayashi. She took on the role of the antagonist Gold Claw in the 2004 anime adaptation of Cutie Honey, a part known for its heavy makeup and extravagant costume. Beyond these examples her voice credits also include a role in the Japanese dub of the Disney Pixar film The Good Dinosaur, where she voiced the character Ramsey. In live-action cinema, she is recognized for her performances in films such as Kamome Diner and the 2016 film Shin Godzilla.

Beyond acting, Katagiri has also worked as an essayist, having written a serialized column for the film magazine Kinema Junpo.
