Gerardo Davila is an actor and voice artist known for his work in anime, live-action film, and television. Biographical information indicates he was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up in Garland, Texas, with sources listing conflicting birth dates of April 24, 1975, and April 24, 2001. He is the oldest of five children and the first in his family to become an actor in the United States. Before pursuing acting, Davila had a background in music, forming a rap group called Latin Royalty in the Dallas area and later performing as a solo artist under the name Master G.

Davila began his acting career at the age of 29, starting in theatre at Teatro Dallas under the mentorship of Cora Cardona. In 2004, he joined the acting group Class Act Dallas, where he trained weekly for sixteen years with his late mentor Daniel Foster. He attended the University of North Texas, studying Radio-TV-Film, and later studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London beginning in the fall of 2019, where he trained with Brigit Panet, Andrew Tidmarsh, and Salvatore Sorce. He also worked with mentor Marta Dubois in Los Angeles in 2015.

In anime voice acting, Gerardo Davila provides the English voice for Father Chen in the series The Daily Life of the Immortal King. He also voices the character Bro Santa in the English dub of the anime series Gachiakuta, with the Japanese voice provided by Wataru Takagi. Gachiakuta premiered on July 6, 2025, and is produced by Bones Film.

Beyond voice acting, Davila has appeared in numerous live-action television series, including Chicago Fire, Better Call Saul, Walker, The Purge, Queen of the South, Cobra Kai, and The Vampire Diaries. In 2021, he landed his first recurring television role in the Paramount drama Long Slow Exhale. His feature film credits include roles in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Suicide Squad, both directed by James Gunn, as well as Root Letter, Adam the First, and Ghoster. Over his career, he has consistently worked in film, television, commercials, print, and voiceover for video games and anime. He has also worked as a mentor and private acting coach for over ten years. As of recent updates, Davila is in pre-production for his directorial debut.
