Description
Yoshino Origuchi is a Japanese author and light novelist recognized for creating the Monster Girl Doctor series. Origuchi is from Yamato, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, and is known for writing within the fantasy and comedy genres, often centering on monster girl characters.

Origuchi is best known as the original creator of the light novel series Monster Girl Doctor, also known as Monster Musume no Oisha-san. The series, illustrated by Z-Ton, was published by Shueisha under their Dash X Bunko imprint. The first volume was released on June 24, 2016, and the series concluded with its tenth volume on March 25, 2022. The story takes place in the human town of Lindworm, where a human doctor named Glenn Litbeit treats patients from various monster races alongside his harpy assistant, Sapphee. The light novel series was subsequently adapted into a manga illustrated by Tetsumaki Tomasu, which began serialization in Tokuma Shoten's Comic Ryū Web on February 26, 2018. A second manga adaptation, Monster Musume no Oisha-san 0, illustrated by Mitsuhiro Kimura, began serialization in Shueisha's Suiyōbi wa Mattari Dash X Comic on July 26, 2020. The property was also adapted into an anime television series that aired from July 12, 2020, to September 27, 2020, with animation production by Arvo Animation. For the anime, Origuchi is credited with the original work.

In addition to his own series, Origuchi was commissioned to write a spin-off novel for the popular Monster Musume manga series created by OKAYADO. Titled Monster Musume: Monster Girls on the Job!, the light novel was released on August 29, 2020, and is described as an official spin-off endorsed by the original series creator. Beyond his major works, Origuchi has written earlier light novels including Kubatsu no Akuma Shoukanjutsu, which was published on May 10, 2009, and Sister Succubus wa Zange Shinai, published on December 10, 2012. His industry significance stems from his specialization in the monster girl subgenre, contributing both original properties and officially licensed spin-offs within that niche.
