Luca Padovan was born on August 16, 2003, in New York City and is an American actor who has been performing professionally since the age of nine. While he has an extensive background in live-action television and Broadway theatre, his voice acting work includes both Western animated series and Japanese anime productions. His Italian heritage and upbringing in New York City are part of his background.

Padovan began his career on Broadway, starring as Les in Disney's Newsies: The Musical in 2013. He won a nationwide search for the title role in the all-star cast recording of James and the Giant Peach: The Musical, performing alongside Brian d'Arcy James, Christian Borle, and Megan Hilty. In 2015, he originated the role of Billy in the original Broadway cast of School of Rock: The Musical, working with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellowes. He later appeared in the Broadway play Marvin's Room in 2017.

In the realm of animated voice work, Padovan is best known for providing the lead voice of Jett, a red jet plane who delivers packages to children around the world, in the long-running children's animated series Super Wings, a role he performed for 49 episodes. He also voiced the villainous inventor Rolland, also known as Dr. Doodlebug, in the Disney Junior animated series The Rocketeer. Additionally, he had a voice role in an episode of the animated series P. King Duckling.

Padovan's contributions to the anime genre include two significant English dub roles. He voiced the character of Mahito Maki in the Academy Award-winning Japanese animated fantasy film The Boy and the Heron, directed by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. He also provided the voice for the character Rozé in the anime series Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture (also known as Code Geass: Dakkan no Z).

Beyond voice acting, Padovan is recognized for his live-action roles. He is widely known for portraying Paco, the neglected young neighbor who befriends the protagonist Joe, in the first and fifth seasons of the Netflix psychological thriller series You. His other television credits include playing Tucker Bunch on The CW musical comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, a younger version of the title character as Young Quentin on Syfy's The Magicians, and Leo B. Stoker on Nickelodeon's horror anthology series Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island.

Padovan has also performed at major events, including the 70th Annual Tony Awards, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, where he opened the 92nd annual parade in 2018 with a performance of Don't Rain on My Parade. A fundraising video of him performing The Schuyler Sisters from Hamilton went viral in 2016, with proceeds benefiting the MCC Theater.
