Nanami Sakuraba
Description
Nanami Sakuraba is a Japanese actress and voice actor who began her entertainment career in 2008. Her work in voice acting started in 2009 when she was cast as Natsuki Shinohara in the acclaimed anime film Summer Wars, directed by Mamoru Hosoda. This role marked her debut in the field of voice performance.
In 2012, she took on the leading voice role of Sora Yūki in the CGI anime film.hack//The Movie, also known as.hack//Sekai no Mukou ni. The character is a junior high school student who becomes involved in the online game The World, where virtual events begin to affect reality. During the production of this film, Sakuraba commented on the difficulty of synchronizing her voice with the animated character's mouth movements.
In addition to her anime film work, Sakuraba portrayed the character Sasha Blouse in the live-action adaptations of Attack on Titan. She played the role in the two-part live-action film released in 2015, as well as in the prequel web miniseries titled Attack on Titan: Hangeki no Noroshi (Counter Rockets). Her other film credits include a leading role in the 2010 movie The Last Ronin, for which she received the New Actor award at the 53rd Blue Ribbon Awards.
Throughout her career, Sakuraba has balanced voice acting with on-screen performances and modeling, and she was formerly a member of the music group bump.y. While known for her work in anime, a significant portion of her filmography comprises live-action roles, demonstrating her range as a performer.
