Itaru Yamamoto

Description
Itaru Yamamoto was a Japanese voice actor who began his career in the early 2010s. His debut anime role was in the series Gintama in 2011, after which he took on a variety of supporting characters in major anime productions. He was affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise.

Yamamoto built a portfolio of roles in popular fantasy and science fiction franchises. He voiced the character Digurv in A Certain Magical Index III, which aired in 2018 and 2019. He was also part of the cast for the fourth and final season of The Familiar of Zero, titled The Familiar of Zero F, where he played the role of Jacques in 2012. In the anime adaptation of the manhwa Noblesse, which premiered in 2020, he was cast as Gejutel K. Landegre, an adviser to the Lord of the Nobles. His roles also included antagonist characters, such as Haran, an artificial Flame Human and member of the White-Clad organization in the Fire Force anime. While a role for him in the series Sorcery in the Big City, as mentioned in the prompt, could not be verified, he did have notable parts in other major series, including Sourface in One-Punch Man and Madmole in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest. He also provided the Japanese voice for the character Soundwave in the film Transformers One.

In September 2024, Yamamoto's agency, I'm Enterprise, terminated his management contract due to what it described as a serious breach of contract by the voice actor. The agency also announced that he had retired from all entertainment activities. As a result of this development, his role as Soundwave in Transformers One was re-cast with Yoji Ueda for subsequent releases of the film.
