Thomas Darchinger is a German actor and voice actor born on May 5, 1963 in Neuburg an der Donau, Bavaria, Germany. He grew up in Herrsching am Ammersee and began his acting career in 1984 at the Pathos Transport Theater in Munich, where he played several lead roles. The theater group gained international recognition during the late 1980s. Darchinger left the company in 1990, worked as a guest actor at various theaters in Germany, the United States, and Spain, and founded his own theater group, Theater d-formation, in 1993.

His film and television career began in 1989 when he was cast in the novel adaptation Mit den Clowns kamen die Tränen, directed by Reinhard Hauff. He gained early recognition for his role as Maxi Grandauer in the Bavarian television series Löwengrube. Since then, he has appeared in over 150 films, including numerous crime series such as Tatort, Polizeiruf 110, SOKO Munich, Die Rosenheim-Cops, and Der Bulle von Tölz. He has also acted in international films, including the English-Canadian production Joy Division and the French film La Rafle, also known as The Round Up, where he appeared alongside Jean Reno and Mélanie Laurent.

As a voice actor for German dubbing, Darchinger provides the German voice for several international actors, including Cuba Gooding Jr., Rhys Ifans, James Nesbitt, Jamie Dornan, Alan Cumming, and Michael Kelly. His dubbing work includes major productions such as Game of Thrones, The Fall, Justified, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider The Cradle of Life. Within anime, he is known for two specific roles in German dubbed versions. He portrays Maron Noland, also known as Mont Blanc Noland, in One Piece Episode of Skypiea. He also voices Genkaku Azuma in the series Deadman Wonderland. Genkaku Azuma is a primary antagonist who serves as the leader of the Undertakers, an elite task force of prisoners, and describes himself as an Ultra Buddhist Priest.

Beyond acting, Darchinger has worked as a producer and director. He directed the short film Autostrada and the short film This Conference is good, among other projects. He also performs live readings and live radio plays, including Das Festessen and the award-winning Das andere Leben, which he occasionally performed with vibraphonist Wolfgang Lackerschmid.
