Thomas Darchinger is a German actor and voice actor born on May 5, 1963 in Neuburg an der Donau, Bavaria, Germany. He grew up in Herrsching am Ammersee and began his acting career in 1984 at the Pathos Transport Theater in Munich, where he played several lead roles. The theater group gained international recognition during the late 1980s. Darchinger left the company in 1990, worked as a guest actor at various theaters in Germany, the United States, and Spain, and founded his own theater group, Theater d-formation, in 1993.
His film and television career began in 1989 when he was cast in the novel adaptation Mit den Clowns kamen die Tränen, directed by Reinhard Hauff. He gained early recognition for his role as Maxi Grandauer in the Bavarian television series Löwengrube. Since then, he has appeared in over 150 films, including numerous crime series such as Tatort, Polizeiruf 110, SOKO Munich, Die Rosenheim-Cops, and Der Bulle von Tölz. He has also acted in international films, including the English-Canadian production Joy Division and the French film La Rafle, also known as The Round Up, where he appeared alongside Jean Reno and Mélanie Laurent.
