Ennosuke Ichikawa IV
Description
Ennosuke Ichikawa IV, a highly respected Japanese kabuki actor, has also made select forays into voice acting for anime, with his known work being exclusively within the One Piece franchise. Born Takahiko Kinoshi on November 26, 1975, in Tokyo, he is a graduate of Keio University's Faculty of Letters, where he majored in Japanese literature. He made his first stage appearance at age five and formally entered the kabuki world in 1983 under the stage name Ichikawa Kamejirō II before assuming the prestigious name Ichikawa Ennosuke IV in June 2012.
His venture into voice acting is directly linked to his successful collaboration with the One Piece franchise. He starred in the live stage production Super Kabuki II: One Piece, where he portrayed multiple characters including Monkey D. Luffy, Boa Hancock, and Shanks.
