Stefano Benassi is an Italian actor, voice actor, and dubbing director born in Suzzara, Italy, on December 26, 1957. His career in dubbing began in the late 1980s and early 1990s under the guidance of dubbing director Renato Izzo, who recognized his potential after seeing him perform in theater. Benassi holds a degree in nuclear engineering, which he earned in 1982.

In the context of anime and animated feature dubbing, Benassi is known for providing the Italian voice for characters in major international productions. He is the Italian voice of Dylan Gould in the series Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The character Dylan Gould is a human antagonist, the CEO of Hotchkiss Gould Investments, who betrays humanity to ally with the Decepticons. Benassi also voices the character Dr. Dyson Ido in the series Alita: Battle Angel. Dr. Ido is a cybernetics doctor and a Hunter Warrior who finds and rebuilds the protagonist, Alita, acting as her father figure and mentor.

Beyond these roles, Benassi has a prolific career dubbing live-action performances. He is recognized as the recurring Italian voice actor for several prominent Hollywood actors.
