Minori Terada was a Japanese actor and voice actor born in Tokyo on November 7, 1942. He began his career after joining the Bungakuza Drama Research Institute in 1961, eventually leaving Waseda University to pursue acting full time. Terada passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 81 due to lung cancer.
As a voice actor, Terada is best known for his role as Colonel Muska, the primary antagonist in Hayao Miyazaki's legendary Studio Ghibli film Castle in the Sky (1986). Decades later, he voiced the Aonagi University director in the 2022 anime film Blue Thermal. In live-action cinema, he portrayed Danjo Kouga, the grandfather of the protagonist and leader of the Kouga clan, in the 2005 film Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, which is an adaptation of the novel The Kouga Ninja Scrolls.
