Markus Hanse is a German voice actor, singer, and vocal pedagogue born in 1986. His career in the performing arts began with musical theater. After completing his Abitur in 2004, he trained as a musical performer at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg, graduating in 2008. He subsequently performed in various stage productions, including Monty Python's Spamalot in Cologne, Ich war noch niemals in New York in Stuttgart, and Rent in Berlin. Alongside his performance career, he also trained as a vocal pedagogue in Denmark.

Hanse's voice acting work encompasses animation, live-action dubbing, and audio dramas. He is known within the anime community for providing the German voice for Paul Greyrat in the series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. Another notable anime role is Kai Asahikawa in the series Tribe Nine. His other anime credits include characters in The Seven Deadly Sins: Urteil des Drachen (Monspeet), The Case Study of Vanitas (Marquis Machina), Demon Lord, Retry! (Isami Tahara), and So I'm a Spider, So What? (Darad). He has also voiced characters in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, The Apothecary Diaries, and How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom.

Beyond anime, his dubbing work is extensive, with over 300 credited voice roles in films and television series, where he often dubs actors such as Eric Masip. He is also active as a speaker in audio drama productions, including roles in series like Die drei!!! and Die Punkies. In addition to his performance work, Hanse continues to work as a certified vocal pedagogue, offering workshops and teaching in Hamburg.
