Tenmei Basara is a Japanese actor born on September 29, 1971, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is known for his tall stature, standing approximately 1.9 meters (about 6 feet 3 inches) tall. His blood type is AB. He is a graduate of Kanagawa Prefectural Iseda High School.

Basara is primarily recognized for his work in tokusatsu productions, often portraying villains, monsters, or other physically imposing characters. One of his notable roles is Ra-Dorudo-Gu in the 2000 series Kamen Rider Kuuga. In this series, he played a crow-type monster, also referred to as the Condor Species Unidentified Lifeform.

Beyond Kamen Rider Kuuga, Basara has several other credits in the tokusatsu genre. He appeared in the 2000 film Ultraman Tiga The Final Odyssey, where he played the role of Hudra, the human form of the evil Ultra Warrior known as Hitra. In the 1996 television series Ultraman Tiga, he portrayed the human form of the alien Muzan Star-Beast. His other film appearances include a role as a bodyguard in the 2001 action film Wasabi and a part in the 1997 film The Guarded Daughter. He also appeared in the 1996 series七星斗神凯法特, portraying a character named Zodiak.
