Ulrike Jennie

Description
Ulrike Jenni is a German dubbing and voice actress, not a Japanese anime voice actor. She was born on April 7, 1969 in Munich, Germany. She began her voice acting career through a former classmate and friend, Sabine Bohlmann, who was already working as a dubbing actress while in school. Jenni accompanied Bohlmann to a studio to watch the process and unexpectedly was asked to voice a role in a high school series when another actress had been sent away early. As the series progressed and her character grew in importance, she was retained in the role. After finishing school, she completed formal training in acting, dance, and singing.

She is best known for her work in anime dubbing. Her most prominent voice roles include Kagome Higurashi in the InuYasha series and its films, including InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time, InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler, and InuYasha the Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Island. She is also known as the voice of Michiru Kaio, also known as Sailor Neptune, in the Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars series as well as in the film Sailor Moon S: The Movie. Other anime roles include Lily and various background characters in Pokémon, Porsche and the young boy Mobambi in One Piece films, including One Piece: Chinjō Shima no Chopper Ōkoku, and Mimi in Duel Masters.

Beyond her work on television series and films, she has participated as a guest at several anime and manga conventions, including Contopia in 2013 in Dortmund, Animuc in Fürstenfeldbruck, and Connichi on multiple occasions alongside her friend Sabine Bohlmann.
