Mika Katsumura

Description
Mika Katsumura is a Japanese actress known primarily for her work in tokusatsu dramas, which are live-action special effects television series and films. While she is not a prominent voice actor in anime, she has an established career as a performer in the Japanese entertainment industry, with a notable role in the Kamen Rider franchise.

Born on May 31, 1980, in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, Katsumura began her acting career in the late 1990s. Her film debut came with Bounce Ko Gals in 1997. She gained significant recognition for her role as Yuri, also known as Time Pink, in the 2000 to 2001 Super Sentai series Mirai Sentai Timeranger. This role marked a major milestone, establishing her as a familiar face in the tokusatsu genre.

In 2003, Katsumura appeared in Kamen Rider 555, a series in the long-running Kamen Rider franchise. She played the role of Chie Morishita, appearing in the first three episodes. Chie is a significant character in the series' early narrative as the former girlfriend of Yuji Kiba, a central figure whose story arc involves his transformation into the Horse Orphnoch. Her appearances in episodes titled The Start of a Trip and The Belt's Power set in motion key plot points for Yuji Kiba's character. This role connects her to one of the major tokusatsu properties alongside her work in the Super Sentai series.

Beyond these two major franchises, Katsumura's career includes a variety of roles. She made an early appearance as a young Diana in the 1986 Metal Hero Series Jikuu Senshi Spielvan. Her acting credits span television dramas and films throughout the 2000s. Some of her other work includes appearances in television series such as Omiya-san and the soap opera Warui Onna, as well as films like Deadly Outlaw Rekka (2002). She also played Yuki Kisaragi in the 2002 film Ultra Seven 35th Anniversary: Evolution, adding another prominent tokusatsu series to her filmography.

Katsumura consistently worked in the entertainment industry for over a decade, with her active acting years stretching from the late 1990s into the early 2010s. Her legacy is primarily tied to her roles in beloved tokusatsu series, particularly as a heroic Ranger in Timeranger and as a character with a tragic connection to a key Kamen Rider protagonist.
