Jessica D. Stone

Description
Jessica D. Stone is an American actress known for her extensive work in anime voice acting, animation, and video games. Born in Valencia, California, she began her performing arts training at a young age at the Vibe Performing Arts School in Santa Clarita, studying voice, acting, musical theatre, and dance. Her career spans both on-camera and voice acting roles, with a particular focus on dubbing English versions of Japanese anime series.

Stone is recognized for voicing a wide range of characters, often young boys or teenagers, due to her naturally raspy, boyish vocal quality. To reflect this specialization, she is frequently credited under the name J.D. Stone or Jay D. Stone for her anime and video game work. Among her notable anime roles is Maril Mathias in the second season of the supernatural series Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation. She also voices the character Yuki Kuroiwa, the laid-back and experienced president of the Breakwater Club, in the English adaptation of the fishing-themed slice-of-life anime Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater. One of her earlier roles in the medium was providing the voice of Midori the Raccoon in the fantasy series Angel Tales.

In addition to these specific credits, Stone has built a substantial body of work in anime through her association with New Generation Pictures, an ADR production company. Her filmography includes roles in several prominent series. She voiced a young Walter C. Dornez and a child character in Hellsing Ultimate, portrayed Junior in R.O.D -The TV-, and played Dai in Haibane Renmei. Her voice can also be heard in Paranoia Agent, Kamichu!, and Mermaid Forest. Beyond anime, her voice acting extends to video games, where she is known for portraying the character Makoto in the Street Fighter franchise, as well as roles in Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume.

Alongside her voice acting career, Stone has remained active in Los Angeles area theatre. Her stage work has earned her recognition, including two Outstanding Featured Performance awards from the Four Star Theater Alliance for her roles in the musical Hairspray and the play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? She also works as an acting coach, teaching classes in acting, voice-over, and musical theatre at the Vibe Performing Arts School.
