Maria Tanijiri, born on December 8, 1994, in Saitama Prefecture, is a Japanese voice actress and actress known for her work in television anime and stage productions. She made her entry into the voice acting industry after winning the Grand Prix in the National Seiyu Grand Prix in 2014. Following this achievement, she became a member of the voice actress idol unit Earth Star Dream, where her designated image color was blue.

Tanijiri’s most recognized voice role is Nishi Nishiaraidaishi in the comedy anime series Usakame, which premiered in April 2016. She voiced the character in the main series and also reprised the role in subsequent related projects, including the ninth season of the parent series Teekyu. Her role in Usakame also involved performing the opening theme song Hashire! Usakame Koukou Tennis-bu!! as part of Earth Star Dream. Beyond this franchise, her early anime credits included minor roles in Theatrical Blood Type Club and additional seasons of Teekyu, where she voiced characters such as Nakamura-senpai.

In addition to her voice work, Tanijiri has a substantial career in live performance. She has appeared in numerous stage plays and reading dramas, often taking on leading roles. Her stage credits include the lead role of Mikoto Inukai in Kinkemono no Kurupa -Avalon- and as protagonist Hiyori Sena in the stage adaptation of CharadeManiacs. Her career has included affiliations with several talent agencies. She was initially with Earth Star Entertainment, later moved to object, and as of May 2021, is affiliated with MILLENNIUM PRO.
