Massimo Di Benedetto is an Italian voice actor and dubbing director known for his extensive work in anime and video games. He was born in Acqui Terme, Piedmont, Italy, on March 16, 1977. Di Benedetto began his career after attending acting and dubbing courses at the Centro Teatro Attivo in Milan in the late 1990s, eventually moving to the city in 1999 to focus on voice work.

Di Benedetto is widely recognized as the Italian voice of Yugi Muto and his alter ego Yami Yugi from the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh!, a role he has also reprised for subsequent films such as Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions. His performance in this role earned him the award for Best Male Newcomer at the Cartoon & TV Awards in 2005.

His other major anime roles include Rock Lee in Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, a character he voiced for many years. He has also voiced multiple characters across the Pokémon franchise, such as the rival coordinators Drew and Paul, Gary Oak in various series, Trip, and the protagonist Red in Pokémon Origins. Additional notable roles include Hao Asakura in Shaman King, Yuga Aoyama in My Hero Academia, Franky in Spy x Family, Trowa Barton in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Ittetsu Takeda in Haikyu!!, Jaco in Dragon Ball Super, and Romeo in Romeo x Juliet. His work also extends to video games, where he has provided the Italian voice for Harry Potter in several adaptations, Dante in Devil May Cry, and Orbot in Sonic Generations.

Beyond acting, Di Benedetto has taken on the role of dubbing director for the Italian versions of several anime series, including Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, Tokyo Revengers, and The First Slam Dunk. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated frequently with other Italian voice actors, including Marco Balzarotti and Gianluca Iacono.
