Ryōko Tachikawa

Description
Ryoko Tachikawa is a Japanese voice actor and singer born on November 17, 1970, in Fukuoka, Japan. Her professional career in the early 1990s was closely tied to the studios Artmic and JVC, particularly within the science fiction and cyberpunk genres.

Tachikawa is best known for a single, defining role in anime. She assumed the part of Priscilla S. Priss Asagiri, the lead singer and a central character in the Knight Sabers, beginning with the 1991 original video animation series Bubblegum Crash. This three-episode series served as a direct sequel to the popular Bubblegum Crisis OVA series from 1987. In this continuity, Tachikawa voiced the rebellious and fiery protagonist across all episodes, appearing alongside a cast that included Akiko Hiramatsu, Michie Tomizawa, and Yoshiko Sakakibara.

Her casting as Priss came as a replacement for the character's original voice actor, Kinuko Omori, who had left the role to focus on her music career. Beyond the main series, Tachikawa also reprised the role of Priss Asagiri for the 1992 comedy crossover OVA Scramble Wars, which featured characters from several other anime properties produced by Artmic. Her work on these projects remains her most significant contribution to the industry, and there is no widely available information about other major voice roles, recurring collaborations with specific directors or studios beyond the Bubblegum franchise, or notable achievements or awards from her career.
