Pilar Escandon
Description
Pilar Escandon is a Mexican voice actress and dubbing director known for her work on several popular anime series for the Latin American Spanish market. Her career includes both acting roles and directing, as well as teaching acting workshops and voice dubbing techniques.
Escandon is perhaps best recognized for providing the voice of the female version of Ranma Saotome in various installments of the Ranma ½ franchise. She voiced this character in the 1991 film Ranma ½: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China, and in the 1992 film Ranma ½: Nihao My Concubine. She also voiced the female Ranma in the Ranma ½ OVA series.
In the Dragon Ball Z film series, Escandon voiced the character Milk, who is known as Chi-Chi in the original Japanese version, specifically in the film Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug. Her work in the Negima! franchise includes voicing two characters: the android Chachamaru Karakuri and Chigusa Amagasaki, a charm user from the Kansai Magic Association.
